2005-06 Board of Trustees Summary

The first meeting of the 2005-06 Board of Trustees was held on Sunday, August 14, 2005, after the District Convention at the Holiday Inn in Salina.  Fourteen of the sixteen Board of Trustees were present.  Absent was Mary Sprenkel, Division 12 from Hays and Pat Wiechman, Division 11, from Topeka West Ridge.  Kiwanis International Trustee/District Counselor Peter Mihelich from St. Charles, Missouri attended the meeting.

 

Also in attendance were Circle K Asst. Administrator Kris Kline, Circle K Bulletin Editor Catherine Wilkinson, Circle K South Lt. Governor Janell Ternes, Past Lt. Governor and Kiwanian Editor Don Wimpelberg, Past Lt. Governor Ed Butler, Past Governor and International Foundation Representative  Dick Bills, Past Governor and Builders Club Administrator Laverna Leeson, Past Lt. Governor and Public Relations Chair Kurt Huschka, Past Lt. Governor Jim Mitchell, YCPO Chair and First Lady Pam Fajen, Education Chair Ken Kern, Administrative Secretary Amy Campbell, District Foundation Secretary/Treasurer Kenton Krehbiel, and Past Lt. Governor Bob Casino.

·         Approved the appointment of Dot Leakey as District Secretary for 2005-06

·         Accepted the District Treasurer’s Report

·         Adopted the Tentative 2005-06 District Calendar

·         Entered into an Agreement for Administrative Services with Amy Campbell to serve as Administrative Secretary for four months from October - January.

·         Approved the district budget for 2005-06

·         Approved the procedure for expense reimbursement of the Board of Trustees attending the meeting. 

·         Approved the 2005-06 banking procedures

·         Appointed the District Secretary as the Governor’s approving authority for expense vouchers

·         Authorized direct credit purchases from Kiwanis International by the Governor, District Secretary and Administrative Secretary.

·         Authorized purchase of surety bond for district treasurer and secretary.

 

The next regular meeting of the 2005-06 Board of Trustees is scheduled for Friday, January 20, 2006 at the Mid-Winter Conference in Emporia, Kansas.
